This bumpy and textured state is full of diverse desert beauty, however, this environment has a harsh side and needs to be respected.

Always bring more than enough Water!!  Arizona is dry and potable water is difficult to find. Bringing extra also means that if you happen across someone in need, you can spare water safely.  

Appropriate Footwear, Backpacks, Headwear, Clothing, and other Gear is essential to a comfortable, happy hiker.  Make sure that you prepare adequately to help avoid rough situations.
